Unrefined sugarThis type of sugar hasn't undergone any kind of refining process, nor any other chemical procedure (such as cristallization, purfication, etc.). It's a very nourishing ingredient which retains all the characteristics of sugar cane. The differences lie in the production process: In order to obtain white sugar, a series of complex chemical processes are requiered which destroy all the vitamins and nearly take out all the minerals. Unrefined sugar, however, does not lose all these valuable nutrients and is therefore considered a nutritious and healthy food ingredient.
