The La Boella estate is situated in Campo de Tarragona. The mediterranean climate with its mild winters and warm summers is ideal for olive tree growth.
They make use of a cultivation system forming part of an Integrated Production in order to obtain premium quality products, limit the use of agrochemicals, optimize production methods and diminish the amount of waste material.
Balanced and complex taste with a mature olive scent and with a great variety of secondary vegetable aromas. There is also a hint of other ripened fruits such as almonds, tomatoes, fennel and artichoke. It moreover offers retronasal kiwi, banana peel and green apple aromas.
Its mouthfeel is of almonds and slightly underlines its sweetness, ending in astringency, yet not interfering with its taste.
On the whole this results in a very balanced and harmonious olive oil with a distinctly sweet touch to it, characteristic of the variety.
Complex taste, characteristic of the variety. Green olive scent easily identidied by mouth and nose, with a great diversity of secondary vegetable fragrances. Green grass dominates but also banana, strawberry and green nuts are clearly noticeable. There is a hint of other fruits such as green almonds, green tomatoes, fennel, artichoke and mint.
It has a fresh mouthfeel which is balanced in its bitterness, spiciness and sweetness with a softened astringency at the end, linking this olive oil to the fresh green and shiny olive it is made of.
The result is a very balanced and harmonious oil with distinct green fruit characteristics.
This olive oil is made of Greek koroneiki olives. This is a select variety from the Kalamata region. The koroneiki tree produces a small and stretched fruit. The behaviour of the tree is more vigorous than that of the arbequina and arbosana.
This olive oil has a nice, medium-high fruity taste, in which predominate ripened fruits such as banana and strawberry, as well as green grass in balance with the bitterness. Its spiciness underlines its personality, leaving a pleasant and persisting aftertaste.
